Opossums will often inhabit a crawl space, attic or nest under your shed or deck. They may use your home as a latrine and cause other structural damage.

They are known to chew wood, electrical wires and some types of duct work. Insulation also becomes damaged and contaminated.

Opossums are true scavengers and often eat scraps other animals leave behind.

They may breed several times a year. They also have many babies at a time.
Five to eight baby opossums is not unusual.

They are North Americas only marsupial. Females carry small young in a pouch, similar to a kangaroo.
