Sometimes, mice can be a bit cute, but it’s important to remember they can be trouble for your house and your health. For instance, they chew on things such as wires, which is not good, and they mess up your food. If you think mice are living in your home, you have to do something very quickly! 

1. Droppings in Your Home

One way to tell if you have mice is if you see tiny, dark poop in places such as where you keep your food or places where your walls meet the floor. Gross! If this happens, you must clean it all up very well with a cleaner that kills germs and ask someone who knows lots about mice to come and check your house. 

2. Scratching or Scurrying Noises at Night

When it’s nighttime, mice become extremely busy. While you’re asleep, they may potentially produce scratchy or squeaky noises inside the walls or under the floor. This might mean you have mice, maybe or maybe not – but usually, it does.

3. Chewed Wires, Furniture, or Food Packaging

They can nibble on wires, wreck that soft problem that keeps your house warm, and make people sick. If your things start looking chewed up, such as food packages with holes or wires that are all frayed up. This is very unsafe because it might start a fire.

4. Unpleasant Odors

If you sniff out a musty, stinky smell–especially in a tight space where not much air gets in, such as your attic or a little storage area–that means you might have a mouse problem.

Open windows or do what you must do to let fresh air in and get help from an expert to remove those mice for good.

5. Nests and Shredded Materials

Mice construct beds out of things such as ripped up paper, cloth, or parts of boxes. If you find nests hiding in snug, dark spots, you must do something brave before you have even more mice running around.
